We are delighted to announce the reopening of 15 of our pubs on the 4th July 2020 following the PM’s announcement of this week, which lifts some of the lockdown restrictions placed upon our industry back in March. We had anticipated that we might be able to open some pubs on this date, but until we got the official green light this week we had rather planned on only opening those where a 2m SD rule might conceivably work, and whilst we have flexed somewhat to include more, it seems sensible to ensure that we can bed in the latest Government guidance before we do so. It won’t take us long to gear up, but a healthy dose of caution seems appropriate after the very necessary pause.
You can see below the pubs that are opening on the 4th July under POURING and those to come under BREWING, and whilst you may well find that certain things will be a little different in terms of how the pub operates, however despite the very necessary new whistles and bells and a reduced product range, the essence of a good local public house will be very much to the fore
The safety of our staff and patrons will as ever be paramount, and with the guidance being a little new, I do hope that you will forgive us the inevitable teething issues in those that open, and the slight delay in those to come. We are working really hard behind the scenes to make it all right on the day, but without you we are nothing, so I do hope that you will pop down and see us. It’s been bloody awful without you, and I for one, cannot wait to frequent that great British institution, the Public House.
